The First Degree Fitness Newport AR Water Rower has been designed to simulate a true rowing on water experience, delivering the feel and sound of water-rowing.

As you row with the Newport, you can hear a light and soothing “whooshing” sound from the water tank just like the sound of real water rowing.

The design of the Newport AR’s multiple chambered ribbed internal tank and triple-bladed impeller system ensures a natural and jerk-free “catch” as you begin rowing.

Rowing action with the First Degree Fitness Newport Rower is smooth, fluid and quiet thanks to its belt-drive pulley system with 1” nylon strap and bungee cord which is designed to retain constant tension and recoil action, while the ergonomic handle helps to prevent strain on your hands, wrists and arms.  The seat runs smoothly along a concealed track on precision bearings and Delrin low-friction rollers.

The natural resistance of the water in the Newport AR’s tank enables you to self-regulate the intensity of the resistance just like with real water rowing, i.e. the harder you row, the more intense the resistance becomes.  In addition, you can alter the amount of water between the inner and outer chamber via a simple-to-use dial to change the overall resistance level.  This unique system makes the Newport AR Rower ideal for both beginners and more advanced athletes.

Newport AR fitness monitor

Not all rowing machines come with a fitness monitor so it’s great to see that First Degree Fitness have included a multi-level monitor with the Newport AR Rower, enabling you to keep track of your workout stats as you exercise.

The Newport AR Rower is sturdily constructed, allowing for an extended maximum user weight capacity of up to 300 lbs.  For added convenience, this rowing machine can be stored upright to save space without having to empty the water tank.

Overall, the First Degree Fitness Newport AR rowing machine is a great buy for a home water rower.
