of use. It has a single large 5.5” LCD
display screen compared to the older 2016’s dual display screens. The main advantage of the 2020 console is its
Bluetooth connectivity. However, the older
2016 Schwinn 130 console has a few features that the 2020 model does not have,
including: USB port, speakers with MP3 input, and a 3-speed cooling fan.

The consoles on
both the Schwinn 130 2020 and 2016 Exercise Bikes track and display motivating
workout stats such as Time, Speed, Distance, Calories burned, and Pulse
heart-rate. Both exercise bikes feature
contact pulse grip sensors built into the handlebars but the newer 2020 model
also offers telemetry heart-rate monitoring for more accurate stats. Both consoles also feature a handy media
shelf where you can place a tablet or mobile phone etc.

Summary:
Schwinn has a
high reputation for producing quality bikes / exercise machines and the 130
Upright Exercise Bikes are certainly well-constructed and durable with new and
up-to-date fitness technology.
The new 2020
model offers a wealth of fun and exciting training opportunities with its
Bluetooth connection to online training apps and is offered at an amazing low price
compared to most other bikes that feature this technology. However, you do have to bear in mind that you
will have to pay for subscriptions to the apps if you want to use them. You don’t have to use the apps if you don’t
want to and this model still has plenty of on-board programs to keep you
motivated and you always have the option of subscribing to the apps later on if
you find you want more variety as you progress.
If you’re definitely
not bothered about the apps, then the older 2016 130 Schwinn Exercise Bike may
be the better option for you as you get more on-board programs than the newer
model and a few other features as listed in the comparison tables above that
the newer model does not have. You may
be able to pick up the older 130 model for a real bargain while it’s still
available!
